Noted Wagnerian Gwyn Hughes Jones takes his signature Tristan to Scotland for the first time, and Annemarie Kremer makes her Company debut as the proud princess Isolde. A supporting cast includes noted mezzo-soprano Rosie Aldridge as Brangäne, Roland Wood as Kurwenal, Dingle Yandell as the unfortunate King Marke, and Mark Le Brocq as the treacherous Melot.
A love potion sets off a tragic chain of events. From hatred to lust, from love to death, this opera in concert experience musically emphasises the deep bond between Tristan and Isolde and how far they will go to be together.
